Jim Warren honored at AirVenture

Longtime Chapter 234 member takes part in Honor Flight

August 7, 2023

Jim Warren, a staple member of EAA 234, was honored this year at AirVenture 2023 during the Yellow Ribbon Honor Flight to Washington D.C.

On Friday July 28th, during AirVenture's annual salute to veterans, 100 Vietnam War vets departed KOSH at 6am on an American Airlines A321 staffed by an entirely volunteer flight crew. They arrived in Washington D.C. where they spent the day touring various war memorials at no cost to them.

Many EAA members nationwide applied to be a part of this prestigious event, and one of our very own, Jim Warren, was selected to be a part of this year's flight. Jim returned from Washington D.C. to Oshkosh around 7pm where he was greeted by thousands of AirVenture goers with parade, band, and the welcome home they truly deserved.

Congratulations Jim! And thank you for your service. Jim was program manager for several iterations of Air Force One and other conversions of civilian aircraft for military service. We're honored to have you a part of our chapter.
