Welcome to EAA 234
Experimental Aviation Association (EAA) Chapter 234 is the home of general aviation for the Grand Traverse region and beyond.
About us
We help the Grand Traverse region fly.

EAA is about passion, camaraderie, that old can-do spirit and a grassroots way of sharing our love of aviation with others. Whether you want to build planes, fly them, or just want to be involved with aviation, EAA Chapter 234 is your place.

Events

We like to get together.

Whether it’s to build an airplane, get kids excited about aviation, or just for some good old-fashioned hangar flying, we host regular events and love meeting new people.

Young Eagles

We help kids spread their wings.

Inspiring and empowering the next generation of aviators is one of the most important things we do as a chapter.

Our Young Eagles program provides free airplane flights for kids, a monthly club with fun activities, a  scholarship program for flight training, "Camperships" to EAA Air Academy and scholarships for aviation mechanics to kick-start a career in aviation.
